Summer 2017

In July 2017 Match Fit Academy will take two boys teams and one girls team to the famous Gothia Cup in Gothenburg. The boys will first embark on a pre-tournament training camp in Amsterdam, Holland. The girls team will do the same in Berlin, Germany.

The Gothia Cup is an international soccer tournament that since its beginning in 1975 has grown to over 1,500 teams representing more than 70 countries. The opening ceremony at Ullevi Stadium attracts 50,000 spectators and international soccer participants, while 1,100 volunteers guarantee that this will remain the international soccer tournament of all international soccer tournaments! First-class international soccer competition on first-class soccer fields is only part of this great festive week. Located on Sweden's beautiful west coast, Gothenburg offers all the excitement of a major seaport city, as well as fine beaches, water sports, boat trips, shopping and dining, making it a great travel destination for youth soccer teams. The 2017 Gothia Cup will again be the world's largest and most prestigious international soccer party for both soccer players and soccer fans.

Summer 2016

Match Fit Academy Girls England 2016

In August the Match Fit Academy girls team (made up of players 2002 & older) will travel to London to embark on a four game & training tour of England. During the tour the team will play games against Arsenal, Leicester, Reading and North Yorkshire. They will also be training at manchester City and taking on the tour of Old Trafford, home to Manchester United. Finally they will be doing plenty of sightseeing and will attend the Crystal Palace vs. Valencia pre-season game at Selhurst Park.
